New Jerseyans Honored for Inventiveness -- The New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame has recognized four state residents as "Inventor of the Year." Gilbert Buchalter of Millburn, NJ, was honored for developing a reliable gel used for applying electrodes to the skin for electrocardiographs and cardiac defibrillation He is the founder and president of Pharmaceutical Innovations Inc in Newark.
